These projects include sponsoring the digging of a water well, which provides clean water for years; building schools, mosques, or medical clinics; endowing land for charitable use; or even sponsoring the publication and distribution of beneficial books and religious knowledge. Any contribution that creates a lasting utility—something that continues to serve the needy and the public over an extended period—qualifies as Sadaqah Jariyah, multiplying the spiritual merit of the original gift.
